How the weekly injection is used
Pens and vials are taken once a week into subcutaneous fat. Starter strengths (0.25–0.5 mg, then 1 mg) exist so nausea can settle. Higher vials (2 mg and 4 mg) belong in a plan already set by a specialist. Storage is usually refrigerated before first use. Travel with a cool bag only if the leaflet allows that window.
How the daily tablet is used
Oral semaglutide is swallowed on an empty stomach with a small amount of water, then you wait before food, drink or other tablets. That fasting rule is why some adults prefer a pen. Strengths we list are 3 mg, 7 mg and 14 mg. The 3 mg pack is a starter, not a long-term maintenance dose for most people.
