Testosterone Cypionate 250 mg Injection is a long-acting androgen used in testosterone replacement therapy when blood tests confirm hypogonadism and a specialist has chosen an injectable ester. Each 1 ml vial provides 250 mg of testosterone cypionate in oil.

How it works
After intramuscular injection the cypionate ester is cleaved, releasing testosterone. The hormone binds androgen receptors in muscle, bone, brain and reproductive tissue, supporting libido, secondary sex characteristics, red-cell production and bone density when levels were pathologically low. Exogenous testosterone suppresses natural sperm production — important for men who want fertility.
A healthcare professional draws the oil and injects it into gluteal or vastus lateralis muscle using an appropriate needle. Rotate sites. Do not inject intravenously. Follow the monitoring plan for testosterone, PSA, haematocrit and liver enzymes. Store vials as labelled, away from heat and children.
Do not use in prostate or breast cancer, pregnancy, or known allergy to the oil vehicle. Risks include polycythaemia, oedema, acne, mood change, sleep apnoea worsening, azoospermia, and injection-site pain. Seek care for shortness of breath, chest pain, or very high haematocrit.
